Our Candy Cane (CC) series started in all. In early 2009 I was asked to change the typical camera mount and the candy cane, sometimes called a shepherds hook mount was created. To date it has been deployed throughout the US and recently on a large ITS deployment in Jamaica. While it is most commonly deployed on mast arm intersections there are many instances on concrete poles and even a few span wire intersections.
The Offset (OS) series of camera mounts provides extended reach. The additional forward projection from the mounting bracket has been proven to increase visibility and in many cases helps avoid overhead utilities or overhanging tree limbs.
Our Under Arm (UA) series of mounts is designed to avoid overhead utilities and visual obstructions. By placing the camera dome at or below the lowest level of the traffic signal or sign structure you maintain a full 360° field of view.
The Post Mount (PM) series has been specifically designed for the installation of the positioner style cameras. With a universal mounting plate that accepts many of the most common traffic related cameras the PM Series can be mounted traditionally or inverted.
While not designed for cameras our Antenna Mount (AM) has its own place in many ITS and Signal systems. With it’s simple design this mount can be used to support Yagi, Panel and or Omni-directional antennas.
The NPT-NPS Coupling has been developed in cooperation with camera manufactures to eliminate the potential water intrusion caused by electrical conduit couplings. The dual threads allow for a water tight seal on the NPT threads of the pipe as well as the NPS threads of the camera mount.
The traditional NPS-NPS coupling is commonly used to connect pressurized dome cameras to the different aluminum camera mounts. With no special threading these couplings are reserved for pressurized domes where water intrusion is not a concern.
